Dec. 20, 2005
Thousands of workers began what was to be a two-day strike of the New York City transit system over retirement, pension and wage issues. The strike violated the state’s Taylor Law. TWU Local 100 President Roger Toussaint was jailed for 10 days, and the union was fined $2.5 million. ~ Labor Tribune

Ratifications at U.S. Silica, negotiations continue at Matheson Tri-Gas
Jan. 7, 2022 Local 992 members employed at U.S. Silica in Mapleton, Pa. and at the Berkeley Springs, WV location approved long-term contracts with wage increases and maintenance of Health & Welfare. UPS workers in Nevada, California protest pay cuts for P-T employees
Jan. 28, 2022 | United Parcel Service workers across northern Nevada and California protested outside seven different facilities Thursday to speak out against pay cuts for part-time employees.
