ABF Teamsters to receive profit-sharing bonus by month’s end

Bakery and Laundry Conference Update
Feb. 8, 2021 | The pandemic that started worldwide lockdowns almost a year ago is still with us, but there are promising signs on the horizon. I truly thank all the Teamsters in the Bakery and Laundry Conference for going above and beyond the call of duty during such a difficult time. While the bakery industry has been robust over the past year, the laundry industry continues to suffer. We have been communicating with government officials on extended unemployment benefits that not only help our members but everyone who has lost their jobs during the pandemic. Union pleased by House approval of stimulus bill containing pension reforms
Feb. 28, 2021 | The Teamsters are applauding the House’s passage of a $1.9 trillion COVID-19 stimulus bill today that includes language granting relief to hundreds of endangered multiemployer pension plans that would protect the hard-earned retirements of more than 1 million American retirees and workers. Under the Butch Lewis Emergency Pension Plan Relief Act of 2021 language inserted into the legislation, more than 50 Teamster pension plans – including its largest, the Central States Pension Fund – will be eligible for assistance at the outset of the bill’s enactment, with more of the union’s plans becoming eligible in 2022….
